The peas grade the Madonna is created by the German selectors (NORDDEUTSCHE PFLANZENZUCHT HANS-GEORG LEMBKE).
It is included in the State Register of selection achievements of the Russian Federation since 2003.
Biological features: high-yielding mid-season grade of polovinchasto-leafless type, vegetative period of 68-80 days. Height of plants is 53-95 cm. The maximum number of flowers on knot — two. Flowers white. Beans are very poorly bent, with a stupid top. Number semyapochek in a bean small-average. Cotyledons are yellow. Weight is 1000 seeds of 186-240 grams. Protein content in grain of 22,5-23,7%.
Average productivity of peas the Madonna – 3,71 ton from hectare, the maximum productivity — 4,76 tons from hectare.
On resistance to fall the Madonna concedes peas to standard grades, drought resistance at the level of standards a little. The grade differs in high resistance to drowning — on average on 2,2 points exceeds standards. It is susceptible to an askokhitoz and root gnilyam. Against gray decay (owing to wet weather) use of fungicides is possible. It is necessary to monitor emergence of a zernovka pea during a kolosheniye and a trips of blossoming, pea since the beginning. The pro-grass of seeds is recommended.
The peas grade the Madonna is characterized by uniform early maturing. It is suitable for cultivation, both on lungs, and on other well structured soils with more neutral pH level. Crops time — since the middle of March, at approach of physical ripeness of the soil. The optimum density of crops makes 65-90 vskhozhy seeds/sq.m depending on the term of sowing and the region.
Thanks to high resistance to drowning, average length of plants and high rigidity of a stalk peas the Madonna are well suitable for direct combining. Cleaning is usually made at humidity of grain 16-19% and a light brown fruit cover.
